Sitting atop one of Paris' busiest train stations, this vast 1960s building will undergo a complete refurbishment, making it one of the largest adaptive reuse projects in Paris. The challenge here lies in the scale of the public areas, which are closer to an airport than a conventional city-center office building.

Our design strategy focuses on creating pockets of domestic scale around the large existing structural elements of the original building. With some areas offering triple ceiling height, we paid close attention to detailing to create a positive experience in the newly created spaces, which include reception areas, restaurants, auditoriums and work spaces.
